Before winter came and it got really cold outside we decided to install our backslash. Picking out a design was quite simple. We both wanted something light, classic and easy to maintain. After seeing various options, we narrowed it down to marble and glass. While most of our family liked the glass tile, we decided to follow our instinct and go with the classic stone.
The process was a bit tedious (as anyone who has ever installed backsplash would know) and I am a very impatient person so I wanted it to be finished and see the result before we even started!
It took about two weekends to complete this project with clearing out the kitchen, cutting the tiles, applying the adhesive, grouting, cleaning the grout off the tile and finally sealing.
In the end I am very happy with the finished product and I have to give a big thank you to my dad who taught us both a very valuable lesson of measuring twice and cutting once.
